Bronzer used to be something that I stayed far away from for multiple reasons… 1. I didn’t want to look like an orange clown 2. I had no idea how/where to apply it 3. I didn’t know a THING about blending HA! Can I get an AMEN?! Anyone else??
Because I was so uninformed about powder bronzer, I made it a goal to learn as much as I could and try out different products to find the ‘just right’ ones. I got on youtube, ran to a few stores, tried different methods, and the rest is history!
Here are the solutions to my 3 issues mentioned above…
1. Using the right color combination
I researched and tried out different products and colors to find the right ones. Honestly, I think that powdered contour is much easier and more forgiving than liquid contour, so I ran with it!
Here are the products that are tried and true on not only my face, but others that I have tried it on! I apply the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural first and then the Laura Geller Bronze-N-Brighten! Using both of these bronzers together is KEY!
2. Knowing where to apply it
I found this photo on Pinterest that helped me tremendously with applying the bronzer in the right areas. All of the grey shaded areas are where to apply it!
3. Blending the bronzer
As far as blending goes, using the right application method is SO important. Instead of using a brush that has packed bristles, you need to get a brush that has soft bristles. I have had way better success with blending the contrasting color with a stippling brush. This brush is my GO-TO! I linked it with 3 different retailers below!
